Meet Dr. Julie Logan

Finding Help for Her Son

In her younger years, Dr. Julie had no interest in the medical field — that is until her second son was born. “He became autistic after being vaccinated at the age of approximately 18-20 months.” Through chiropractic adjustments, however, he experienced a remarkable turnaround. “We also pursued other therapies like a gluten-free diet – one of the things that caused him to recover completely.”

Recovering From an Autoimmune Disorder

At the same time of her son’s diagnosis, Dr. Julie was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. “I was told it was incurable and that I would be on medications for the rest of my life.” Within about three months of being adjusted Dr. Julie was completely in remission and was able to get off all medications. “I never needed them again and was able to return to running triathlons.” Dr. Julie remarks that every person in her family has had a miraculous turnaround in their health as a result of chiropractic.

Obtaining a Chiropractic Education

The biggest motivating factor for Dr. Julie to become a chiropractor was a desire to help autistic children. She enrolled at the National University of Health Sciences. “With its science-based approach, I learned how to be an excellent primary care doctor and figure out complex problems that people have.”

In addition to her doctorate, Dr. Julie possesses full body certification in Active Release® Technique. She also is accredited by the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (MAPS), an organization that is run by medical doctors and trains physicians on how to care for children with autism. At MAPS, she underwent extensive training in functional medicine. In addition to chiropractic care, she uses nutrition and supplements to help restore the body to health. Specifically, she helps patients with detoxing, weight loss and balancing hormones.

Helping People Recover From Complex Conditions

For Dr. Julie, helping people recover from complex, incurable conditions or diseases was the driving force behind her entering the chiropractic profession. “Every time I’m able to help someone along that path — whether I just walk with them the whole way or part of the way — is a success and a victory.” It’s enormously gratifying for her to witness patients recovering from things that they were told were incurable.

Staying Active in Warrenville

When she’s not at the practice, Dr. Julie enjoys staying fit. She’s a member of Team USA, (a duathlon team) and will represent the United States this year in the world championships. She and her husband Eric, along with sons Christian and John, keep active. The boys are avid runners, participating in track and cross country.

Dr. Julie also likes vacationing in Michigan. She and her family belong to the Wheaton Sports Center and the Antioch Community Church in Wheaton. Passionate about helping those who are less fortunate, they are also involved in overseas missions.
